Tom Hammer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tom began their career at BruningCAD in 1981, where they served as Manager of UNIX Systems Software and Sr. Software Developer until 1985. Tom then joined JOH Enterprises as a Sr. Software Developer for a year before moving on to CAD Consulting Services, Inc. In CAD Consulting Services, they held the positions of Vice President of Software Development and later President from 1987 to 1998. Tom then transitioned to PennWell Corp., where they worked as a Manager of Application Systems and Application Specialist from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they joined Tulsa CARES as the Information Systems Manager from 2003 to 2012. Finally, they became the Director of IT & Facilities at Volunteers of America of Oklahoma, a position they currently hold.

Tom Hammer earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management Information Systems from Oklahoma State University from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration and another AA degree in Accounting from Oklahoma Junior College in 1990-1991. In 1979-1981, they pursued a degree in Drafting from Oklahoma State Tech.
