Doug Cherry

Doug Cherry is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in higher education and financial services. Currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Volunteers of America since 2022, Cherry previously held the position of Vice President of Business and Finance at Dawson Community College from 2021 to 2022. Cherry's earlier experience includes leadership roles at Sheridan and Gillette Colleges as Director of Business Education from 2015 to 2021, and as an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University - Idaho from 2010 to 2015. Cherry's financial services background includes tenure at Citi from 2008 to 2013. Cherry holds an MBA in Business Administration from Utah State University—Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration with a focus on Leadership from the University of Wyoming, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Idaho State University.
