Jatrice Martel Gaiter

Jatrice Martel Gaiter serves as the Executive Vice President of External Affairs at Volunteers of America since January 2008, focusing on enhancing the organization’s reputation as a leading provider in affordable housing, behavioral health, aging, corrections, and veteran services. Prior to this role, Jatrice held significant leadership positions including President and CEO at Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington D.C. (1999-2007), Executive Director at SOS Children's Villages (1995-1999), and Vice President of the Michigan Partnership for New Education at Michigan State University (1991-1995). Jatrice's career also includes roles as Senior Vice President of Resources for the United Way of Miami-Dade (1987-1991) and Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs at United Way of America (1982-1987). Jatrice earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law.
