Åsa Alström has a diverse work experience in communication and marketing roles in the automotive industry. Åsa started their career in 2003 at Volvo Construction Equipment, where they held various positions such as Head of Strategic Communication and Global Internal Communication Manager. Åsa was responsible for leading and supporting internal and external communication efforts, developing strategic projects, and delivering communication to stakeholders. In addition, they worked as a Marketing Manager and Market Manager & Communication Manager, overseeing marketing and communication activities for different markets. Prior to their roles in Volvo Construction Equipment, Åsa also served as a Key Account Coordinator, Regional Business Coordinator & Marketing Manager, Pricing Manager, and Project Manager. Åsa also had a stint as a Communication Director at Volvo Group Trucks Technology.

Åsa Alström completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Marketing at Växjö University from 2001 to 2004. In 2017, they obtained a Communication Black Belt from Volvo Group University. Åsa is currently pursuing a course in Leading cultural transformation at Zwedberg & Person AB, which started in 2022 and is expected to end in 2023. Additionally, they received a certification as a Leadership coach from Volvo CE in 2017.
