Dr. Muhammad Rehan Ahmed

Dr. Muhammad Rehan Ahmed is a Principal Engineer at Volvo Autonomous Solutions, with extensive experience in mechatronics and control systems. From November 2012 to October 2021, Dr. Ahmed held various leadership roles at Volvo Car Sverige, focusing on the development of brake control software and steering systems, including work on functional safety concepts in compliance with ISO26262. Prior roles include Control System Developer at Combine Control Systems AB, where contributions were made to testing and verification for Active Safety, and managerial positions in public sector R&D organizations, overseeing control system development and modeling. Dr. Ahmed holds a PhD in Automatic Control Theory from Örebro University, alongside a Master’s in Automatic Control Systems from INSA Toulouse and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sir Syed University.
