Henrik Karlsson

Henrik Karlsson is a seasoned Principal Materials Engineer at Volvo Group, where responsibilities include steel heat treatment, powder metallurgy, and metal additive manufacturing since January 2012. Currently acting as the Manager of Surface Technology and Testing, Henrik leads a high-performing team of 17 engineers to enhance applied materials technology with access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. Prior experience includes roles as a Process Specialist at SKF/MDC, a Product Development engineer at Erasteel, and a PhD-student at Chalmers University of Technology, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Surface Technology and Powder Metallurgy was earned. Earlier career experience includes a Process Development Engineer position at Erasteel. Education includes a degree from Linköping University from 1991 to 1996.
