Lizeth Sanchez

Lizeth Sanchez is a Principal Materials Engineer in the R&D department at The Timken Company, with experience since May 2022. Previously, Lizeth held the positions of Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Akron from August 2016 to April 2022, focusing on stress corrosion cracking susceptibility of pipeline steels and electrochemical experiments concerning carbon steels. Earlier experience includes a role as a Laboratory Analyst at Ecopetrol, where analysis of equipment life under high temperatures and collaboration on failure analysis were key responsibilities. Lizeth earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Corrosion from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
