Per Hanarp

Per Hanarp is an experienced professional in the field of hydrogen technologies and fuels, currently serving as a Standardization Engineer at Volvo Group since March 2022, focusing on external standardization in hydrogen and related standards. Prior roles included Principal Engineer for Hydrogen Infrastructure Technology at Volvo Group, managing hydrogen-related research projects and serving as chairman of the TechforH2 competence center at Chalmers. At Volvo Cars, Per held the position of Technical Specialist for Fuels and Engine Oil Engineering, overseeing technical responsibilities in R&D and legal matters related to fuels. Previously, Per coordinated fuels-related activities within Volvo Group and served as Project Manager for energy and materials projects. Per began a career in catalysis at the Competence Centre for Catalysis at Chalmers, contributing to advancements in catalyst materials for fuel cells. Per holds a PhD in Materials Science from Chalmers University of Technology.
