Pedro E. Ortiz

Pedro E. Ortiz is an experienced project manager and engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and project management within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as Project Manager for the Project & Product Strategy Office at Volvo Trucks North America since October 2020, Pedro Ortiz supports start-cost projects and previously coordinated testing for verification of features in Volvo vehicles. Earlier roles include Process Engineer at Georgia-Pacific LLC, where multiple improvement projects led to significant cost savings, and Mechanical Design Engineer at MAC Panel Company, among others. A U.S. Army National Guard veteran, Pedro E. Ortiz earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
