Arek Nowinski

A native of Poland, Arek Nowinski is a true Volvo Cars veteran and has spent more than 17 years working at the company. He has been in charge of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region since April 2021.

Between 2008 and 2021 he was the managing director for Volvo Cars Poland, where he and his team managed to triple sales, quadruple revenues and break sales record after sales record.

In November 2019, Arek was appointed Head of Product for the EMEA region in addition to his role as head of Volvo Cars Poland. In this new position, he and his team led the company’s CO2 reduction efforts for its entire European fleet. This resulted in Volvo Cars overachieving on its CO2 reduction target as defined by European Commission regulations.

Prior to joining Volvo Cars in 2004, Arek worked in the financial sector as a consultant at KPMG Warsaw and at Grant Thornton in London.

Arek graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (MA in Finance & Banking) and the University of Derby, UK (MSc in International Finance & Investment). He is also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
