Junjie Shao

Junjie Shao currently serves as the Head of UX for the Asia-Pacific region at Volvo Cars since April 2021. Prior to this role, Junjie held the position of Head of Design at italki from July 2019 to April 2021 and worked as a startup consultant while self-employed between March 2018 and June 2019. Earlier experience includes leading UI/UX efforts at MILDBERRY and serving as a Senior UX Designer and Design Lead at IBM. Junjie's extensive background in user experience design also features a long tenure at Autodesk, where roles included User Experience Manager and User Experience Designer focused on Digital Arts. Junjie began the career at Hanna Strategies as a QA Engineer in industrial design. Junjie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Shanghai University, completing studies in 2007.
