Sam von Paris has a diverse work experience that spans from 2014 to the present. Sam currently holds the position of Vice President at Von Paris Moving and Storage, which they started in October 2022. Prior to this, Sam served in the US Navy from 2014, starting as a Surface Warfare Officer and holding the position until now. During their time in the Navy, they also served as an Instructor at the United States Naval Academy from August 2019 to November 2022. Sam was a Division Officer on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) Aircraft Carrier from June 2017 to July 2019. Before that, from October 2016 to May 2017, Sam was an Engineering Officer at Knolls Atomic Power Lab. Sam began their naval career as a Division Officer on the USS San Antonio (LPD-17) from August 2014 to March 2016, where they were responsible for overseeing amphibious operations, crane, boat, and anchoring evolutions.
Sam von Paris has a diverse education history. In 2004, they began attending John Carroll High School and completed their studies in 2009. Following their high school education, Sam went on to enroll at The Johns Hopkins University in 2009 and continued their studies until 2010. Sam then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Quantitative Economics from the United States Naval Academy, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, in 2016 and 2017, Sam attended the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) to specialize in Nuclear Engineering.
