Derek Hanson

Senior Director, Global Solutions Engineering

Derek Hanson is a seasoned technical and people leader with extensive experience in solutions engineering and customer experience. Currently serving as a Program Advisor for Customer Experience at the University of Colorado Boulder since November 2024, Derek previously held various roles at Vonage from December 2016, culminating in the position of Senior Director, Global Solutions Engineering. Throughout the career at Vonage, Derek exceeded sales targets and won multiple President's Club awards. Earlier experience includes leadership roles at RingCentral, Avaya Communications, and Ford Motor Company, where a strong focus on customer satisfaction and technological solutions was consistently demonstrated. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from Middle Tennessee State University.
