Jim van Roon has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries.
In 2017, Jim worked as an Expand academy intern at Expand Online (part of Dept), where they underwent a training program in online marketing, with a focus on Google AdWords, display advertising, Facebook, and LinkedIn advertising.
From 2010 to 2019, Jim worked at Cafe de Waal, initially as a Barman/Ober from August 2010, and later as a Lunchkok/Kok koude kant from December 2014. Their tenure at Cafe de Waal lasted until March 2019.
In 2019, Jim joined VONQ as a Trainee Project Management & Online Advertising. This role lasted until March 2020. Jim then progressed to the position of Junior Project Manager from April 2020 to March 2021. Subsequently, they advanced to the role of Medior Project Manager from April 2021 to June 2022. Currently, Jim holds the position of Senior Project Manager at VONQ, starting in July 2022.
Throughout their career, Jim has gained expertise in project management, online advertising, and various aspects of the hospitality industry.
Jim van Roon has a strong educational background with a focus on economics and business. Jim completed their Master's degree in Behavioural Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Economics from the same university between 2012 and 2017. Jim's education journey began at Het Lyceum Vos where they completed their VWO degree in Economics and Society from 2006 to 2012.
In addition to their formal education, Jim has also obtained several certifications related to advertising through Google. In February 2017, they completed the Adwords fundamentals certification, followed by certifications in Shopping Advertising in March 2017, and Adwords Display Advertising, Adwords Mobile Advertising, and Adwords Search Advertising in February 2017.
