Ahmed Alaa

Ahmed Alaa has a varied work experience in the sales and engineering fields. Ahmed began their career in 2012 as a Technical Sales Representative at Aquamaint for Water Technology and Environment, where they were responsible for supplying, installing and maintaining demi water units and their parts, managing the supply process for boilers, chillers and cooling towers, and constructing and maintaining waste water treatment units. In 2014, they moved to Optimum Engineering Standards (OES) as a Drilling Fluids Engineer, responsible for mixing of drilling fluid systems, maintenance of the fluid properties, writing dailies report to the client, and analysis of the fluids and the relative well conditions. In 2016, they became a Technical Support Engineer at PETRONARS - DMCC (Oilfield Chemicals and services). In 2017, they joined Aubin Group as a MENA Sales Account Manager and Regional Sales Executive, acquiring new and managing existing clients with the sales team in MENA region, providing technical support and product recommendation for PPS operation companies, and preparing detailed technical/commercial proposals. Ahmed is currently working as Regional Sales Director at Voovio, a position they have held since 2022.

Ahmed Alaa completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Alexandria University in 2011. Ahmed then obtained a Diploma in Geophysics and Seismology from Alexandria University in 2013. In 2016, they obtained a Diploma in Business Management (Distance learning) from Amity University, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2019, they completed a FIT4ENERGY Program from Robert Gordon University, specializing in Specialized Sales, Pricing Strategies and Marketing for Oil&Gas industry. Ahmed is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. Additionally, Ahmed Alaa has obtained several certifications, including How To Increase Your Focus from Udemy in 2016, Social Media Management Tool: Buffer Tutorial from Udemy in 2016, Well control awareness course from International Well Control Forum in 2016, Basic Mud School Course from International Petroleum Academy-KSA in 2014, H2S Awareness and SCBA from Arabian Safety Training Center in 2014, Rig Induction in 2012, OSHA from The Arab Society of Materials Science in Cooperation in 2011, GIS application in petroleum geology using ARCGIS from Faculty of Science, Alexandria University in 2011, and Citation Style from Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2009.
