Gabriella Angelini

Gabriella Angelini has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Gabriella currently works at Vor Bio as a Principal Associate Scientist, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Associate Scientist at Vor Bio from November 2020 to January 2023 and an Associate Scientist from December 2019 to November 2020.

Before joining Vor Bio, Gabriella worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard as a Research Associate in the Barrett Lab at the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research. In this role, they focused on generating and maintaining CRISPR-Cas9 edited human pluripotent stem cell lines. Gabriella also contributed to the validation of edited stem cell lines at a genetic and proteomic level. Gabriella'stenure at the Broad Institute lasted from September 2017 to December 2019.

Gabriella began their professional career as a Graduate Assistant at the University of New Hampshire from September 2014 to September 2017.

Gabriella'sfirst industry experience came as a Research Intern - Cell Line Development at Pfizer from July 2013 to December 2013. In this position, they worked on monoclonal antibody producing CHO cell lines, isolating subclonal cell colonies and using molecular techniques to assess mutation frequency and gene copy number.

During their undergraduate years at Merrimack College, Gabriella held various research positions. Gabriella was an Undergraduate Fellow at the Center for Biotechnology & Biomedical Sciences, where they contributed to isolating microsatellites in the Sailfin Molly fish genome for future behavior studies. Gabriella also served as a teaching assistant for the Genetics Lab class. Additionally, Gabriella worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher, studying the role of Myosin 1D in the development of left-right asymmetry in Xenopus laevis embryos.

Gabriella Angelini completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General at Merrimack College from 2010 to 2014. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Genetics at the University of New Hampshire from 2014 to 2017.
