Ruijia Wang, Ph.D.

Director, Computational Biology at Vor Biopharma

Ruijia Wang, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics. They are currently employed at Vor Biopharma as an Associate Director of Computational Biology, and previously worked as a Principal Scientist in the same field. Before joining Vor Biopharma, Ruijia worked at QIAGEN as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist. They also held positions at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where they served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Bioinformatics Core. Ruijia's earlier experience includes being a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where they focused on database construction, bioinformatic modeling, and GWAS. They also served as an Associate Professor at Ocean University of China and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Auburn University.

Ruijia Wang, Ph.D. completed a Bachelor's degree from Ocean University of China from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2013, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) at Auburn University. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in various fields. In November 2016, they received a certification in "Bioconductor for Genomic Data Science" from Johns Hopkins University. In the same month, they also acquired a certification in "Julia Scientific Programming" from \u5357\u975e\u5f00\u666e\u6566\u5927\u5b66. Prior to these, in October 2016, they obtained a certification in "Python for Genomic Data Science" from Johns Hopkins University.
