Andrew Ritts

Director of Regulatory Affairs at Vortex Surgical

Andrew Ritts has worked in the medical and research industry since 2010. In 2010, they were a Post Doctor at the University of Missouri, where they developed and tested a novel atmospheric plasma torch for various medical applications, and helped develop novel nanocomposite materials for various industries. In 2011, they were a Senior Research Scientist at Nanova Inc. From 2016-2021, they held the role of Director of Regulatory Affairs at PlasmaDent Inc. and Nanova Biomaterials Inc. At Nanova Biomaterials Inc., they developed a quality management system for medical devices and cleared 8 devices through FDA pre-market notifications in dental, surgical, and orthopedic. Andrew also registered production facility and product with FDA for hand sanitizer products. In 2021, they began working as the Director of Regulatory Affairs at Vortex Surgical Inc.

Andrew Ritts obtained their PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia between 2006 and 2010.
