Maria Reit

Maria Reit has extensive legal experience spanning over two decades. Maria is currently serving as the Vice-President of Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary at Vosker since October 2021. Prior to their current role, Maria held various positions at Gildan, including Director of Legal Affairs and Compliance, Director of Legal Affairs, Intellectual Property, and Global Marketing, and Director of Legal Affairs, Branded Apparel Division (US) and Global Marketing. At Gildan, they provided legal advice to different departments, oversaw compliance with securities reporting and disclosure obligations, managed the intellectual property portfolio, and negotiated commercial agreements.

Before joining Gildan, Maria worked as a Legal Counsel at Imperial Tobacco Canada, where they gained experience in legal matters. Maria also served as a Legal Counsel, Global Sourcing at Bombardier Aerospace.

Maria started their legal career as an Attorney at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) and later worked as a Legal Counsel at BDC. Maria began their journey in law as an Attorney, Articling Student, and Summer Student at Gowling WLG Montreal.

Maria Reit attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained a D.E.C. in Administration. Maria then continued their education at the Université de Montréal from 1999 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in the field of Law.
