Miranda Kennedy is an accomplished media professional currently serving as Executive Producer for "Today Explained" at Vox Media since May 2023. With extensive experience at NPR since November 2015, Miranda has contributed as Editor for the Rough Translation season, leading an international team on the true crime podcast "Love Commandos," and has been instrumental in the launch of NPR’s daily news podcast, "Up First." Additionally, Miranda held roles as Supervising Senior Editor for "Morning Edition" and Acting Executive Producer for "Weekend All Things Considered." Beyond NPR, Miranda has advised on faith and politics through the Faith Angle Forum and has taught investigative reporting at American University. A former fellow at the Maynard Institute for Journalism Education, Miranda has also authored books that examine critical societal issues in India and has taught journalism at multiple institutions. Miranda holds an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Bennington College and a BA in English Language and Literature from Trinity College Dublin.
