Subha Brata Roy

Subha Brata Roy, LEED Green Associate, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to infrastructure planning, urban development, and urban planning. Starting in 1999, Subha Brata worked as a Conservation Architect at CALTECH, Kolkata, where they reviewed heritage architectural conservation proposals and supervised construction staff. Subsequently, Subha Brata held positions such as Architect Urban Planner at Jacobs, supporting urban and regional planning projects and feasibility studies, and as an Urban Planning Specialist at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in West Bengal, India, responsible for capacity building and integrating development plans into a city-wide framework.

In 2005, Subha Brata joined The Royal Court of Bahrain as an Urban Planner, where they reviewed and developed planning programs and established guidelines for land allocations. Subha Brata Roy, then transitioned to Abu Dhabi Ports as a Senior Urban Planner on a secondment assignment from Arcadis, providing strategic advice on urban planning and design and plot allocation.

In 2007, Subha Brata joined Arcadis (previously Hyder Consulting Middle East Limited) as a Senior Urban Planner and Project Manager, leading projects and proposals and managing finances and resources. Notably, they led the winning proposal for Masdar Detailed Master Plan.

From 2014 to 2016, Subha Brata worked at du as a Senior Master Planner, providing planning and design advice for the development of the du Park campus. Then, from 2016 to 2018, Subha Brata served as an Associate Vice President at Voyants Solutions Private Limited, leading a team of urban planners, designers, engineers, and advisors to deliver sustainable and smart solutions across various development projects.

Returning to Arcadis in 2018, Subha Brata held various roles such as Senior General Manager and Head of Infrastructure/Urban Development, overseeing the delivery of smart city projects in Ranchi and Pasighat. Most recently, starting in March 2022, Subha Brata is the Vice President and Head of Infrastructure Planning & Design at Voyants Solutions Private Limited.

Subha Brata Roy, LEED Green Associate, holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. Subha Brata Roy, also earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the same institution. In 2015, Roy completed a Certificate Professional Education program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on "Tackling the Challenges of Big Data." Subha Brata Roy, has completed independent course works at MIT in 2014. Roy has a Certificate in ArcGIS 1&2, Building Geodatabase, ArcSDE and ArcIMS from Quality Systems Information Technology in Egypt, specializing in Geographic Information System. Their secondary education was completed at Don Bosco High and Technical School, where they obtained their ICSE and ISC qualifications.
