Kirsi Klemola

Kirsi Klemola has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Kirsi began their career as a Sales Person at Zara from 2007 to 2009. Kirsi then worked at Metso Automation as a Sales Coordinator Trainee and also conducted their Masters thesis on service value quantification.

Afterwards, Kirsi joined Bain & Company as an Associate Consultant from 2012 to 2014, and later became a Senior Associate Consultant until 2017.

In 2017, they joined VR Group as a Business Development Manager until 2019. During their time there, they played a significant role in developing the business.

From 2019, Kirsi started working at VR Transpoint, where they initially served as a Business Development Manager until 2020. Kirsi then became a Key Account Manager, responsible for account P&L and the development of new logistics solutions.

Currently, Kirsi is the Head of Tender Management & New Business at VR Transpoint, a role they began in March 2022. In this position, they are responsible for developing the tender management process, renewing pricing models, and steering the creation and pricing of innovative new rail transport concepts. Additionally, they serve as a sustainability lead, ensuring sustainability is integrated into everyday business operations.

Kirsi Klemola completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Technology at Aalto University from 2008 to 2011. Kirsi further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Information and Service Management from 2011 to 2012.
