Barbara Bezdek-Süess

Barbara Bezdek-Süess has a rich and diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Barbara is currently employed as a Team Lead & Senior Manufacturing, Science & Technology (MSAT) Engineer at VTU Engineering since March 2022. In their previous role at Roche, they held multiple positions, including Capability Lead Analytics Drug Substance Manufacturing from May 2021 to March 2022, Senior Process Engineer Manufacturing, Science and Technology (MSAT) Drug Substance from March 2020 to March 2022, Team Lead Operations Pilot Plant from October 2013 to February 2020, Process Engineer MSAT from September 2012 to September 2013, Validation Engineer from March 2007 to August 2012, and Process Development Engineer (Upstream Processing) from May 2003 to February 2007. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for various tasks such as implementation and lifecycle management of analytical methods, transfer of analytical methods and controls, project management and implementation of new equipment and methods, supporting drug substance process implementations and transfers, implementation and qualification of lab scale models, and change control and discrepancy management.

Barbara Bezdek-Süess obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Biotechnology from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences between 1999 and 2003.
