Andro Sabashvili, PhD

Lead Data Scientist at Dressler Consulting

Andro Sabashvili, PhD has held a variety of positions within the fields of data science and research. From 2002 to 2007, they worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Research Centre at Tbilisi State University. Andro then moved to the University of Gothenburg, where they worked as a PhD Researcher and Teaching Assistant from 2007 to 2013. During this time, they led a project from inception to completion, developed a new numerical method, and analyzed mathematical data. Andro also gained experience in computer programming. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Bank of Georgia, where they developed predictive and descriptive models using advanced machine learning algorithms. Since 2019, they have been a Lead Data Scientist at Dressler Consulting, managing a team of data scientists developing an AutoML based product.

Andro Sabashvili obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), with Honor in Physics from Tbilisi State University between 2001 and 2005. Andro then continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Condensed Matter Physics between 2005 and 2007. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Theoretical Physics from the University of Gothenburg in 2013.
