Reza Yavari has a strong background in additive manufacturing, with experience in both research and engineering roles. Reza currently works as an Additive Manufacturing Process Engineer at VulcanForms Inc. since November 2021. Prior to that, Reza was a researcher at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from January 2017 to August 2021, where they focused on part scale modeling and thermal simulation in additive manufacturing processes. Reza also invented a fast novel approach for AM/3D printing thermal modeling and filed three patents. Additionally, Reza has worked as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer at EWI, where they developed and evaluated 3D printing technologies and supported R&D initiatives. Reza has expertise in Laser Powder Bed Fusion and has operated EOS M290 and in-house Open Architecture System.
Reza Yavari pursued their education in a chronological manner, beginning with a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Reza attended this institution from 2012 to 2014. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
