Christian Calderon

Christian Calderon, M.Sc., serves as a Mining Engineer at Vulcan Materials Company since December 2023, after a significant tenure as Senior Mine Planning Engineer and Mine Planning Engineer at Golden Queen Mining Co LLC from June 2019 to December 2023. Christian's expertise includes implementing mine plans, fleet management systems, and optimizing ore control workflows through advanced technologies like drone data and AI image processing. Prior to this, Christian held the position of Senior Mine Planning Specialist at Hexagon Mining, focusing on global consulting and mine planning. Christian's career also includes roles at Mintec, where assistance and training on Minesight software were provided, and research positions at West Virginia University and the University of Puerto Rico, where contributions to significant projects and algorithm development were made.
