Claire Bernaards

Claire Bernaards is currently an Advisor for guidelines at V&VN (Verpleegkundigen & Verzorgenden Nederland) since January 2024. Prior to this role, Claire served as a Senior Researcher focusing on technology and dementia at Tover from March 2018 to December 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing research related to the Tovertafel, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with dementia. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Researcher at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where Claire led projects on youth care services, and as a Research Scientist at TNO, managing diverse research initiatives on physical activity, lifestyle, and health. Additional roles include post-doctoral research at VU Medisch Centrum and a PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with extensive involvement in scientific research, project management, and guideline development throughout Claire's career. Education includes multiple qualifications from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, with a focus on epidemiology and human movement sciences.
