John Elwood

John Elwood is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations, manufacturing, and supply chain management. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Vyaire Medical since May 2020, John previously held the position of SVP, Global Operations at Kinetic Concepts Inc, overseeing negative pressure and advanced wound care businesses from October 2017 to May 2020. John's career at Kinetic Concepts also included roles as VP Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain and General Manager, where responsibilities encompassed global supply chain management, manufacturing, and sourcing. Prior experience includes general management roles at Celestica and HP, as well as engineering positions at HP and Bose Corporation. John earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Operations and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Limerick.
