Navneet Puri

Dr. Puri has over 22 years of healthcare industry experience, focusing on pharmaceutical drug delivery and development. He is the founder of Vyluma, and serves as its Chairman and CEO. Vyluma was created with a vision of becoming a world class ophthalmics company, and emerged from its parent company, Nevakar, Inc that he founded in 2015.

Prior to Vyluma and Nevakar, Dr. Puri founded InnoPharma, Inc. in 2005, focusing on development and commercialization of hospital injectable products for critical patient care. InnoPharma was acquired by Pfizer in 2014 and he stayed on as Vice President of Pfizer’s Worldwide Research & Development and President of InnoPharma until 2015.

Dr. Puri received Future 50 magazine’s Smart CEO award in 2015. He was also awarded the EY Entrepreneur of The Year award from the state of NJ in 2015.

His past board positions include InnoPharma, Eyenuk and Xeris Pharmaceuticals. His current board positions include Nevakar, Alzeca Biosciences, BioNJ and [Chairman] Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences Leadership Council.

Dr. Puri spent several years in product development and drug delivery of parenteral pharmaceuticals at Baxter Healthcare Corp. and Amgen Inc. prior to his entrepreneurial journey. He earned an MS from the University of Mississippi and a PhD in Pharmaceutics from Rutgers University.
