Fernando Maidana

Fernando Maidana has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and technical support. Fernando currently works for VyOS as a Network Systems Engineer and Pre-Sales Engineer, where they are responsible for network infrastructure design, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Fernando also participates in the testing and deployment of the VyOS routing operating system in client networks. Prior to this, Fernando worked as an SR Tech Engineer at Santander Tecnología Argentina and as a Network Automation Engineer and Sr. Systems Engineer at Logicalis Latam. In these roles, they specialized in designing and implementing network solutions for ISP customers and gained expertise in network automation, DevOps tools, and protocols. Before joining Logicalis Latam, Fernando worked at Iplan Telecommunications as a Network Specialist and NOC Operator, where they were involved in monitoring and solving network incidents, configuring Cisco equipment, and providing support for telephony services. Fernando Maidana began their education in 2011 at IFTS 24 - Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, where they studied Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications and earned a degree as a Técnico superior en las Telecomunicaciones in 2015. Before that, from 2009 to 2011, they attended IT Training and completed a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Training Course in Network and System Administration/Administrator. In terms of additional certifications, Fernando has obtained multiple certifications from different institutions. Earlier achievements include the CCIE SP certification in October 2018 and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP R&S) certification in November 2017. In addition, they completed the Introduccion a IPv6 course offered by LACNIC in July 2015 and became a Cisco Certified Network Associate in July 2012. There is one more certification, the Scrum foundation professional certificate (SFPC), but no information is available regarding when or where it was obtained.
