Patrick Gibbons

Patrick Gibbons has extensive work experience in both the private and public sectors. Patrick started their career in the US Navy in 1992 and served in various roles, including Naval Officer and Commanding Officer of Region Legal Services Office Southeast. Patrick led investigations and provided legal assistance to service members and their families. In 2019, they transitioned to the private sector and joined VyStar Credit Union as Associate Legal Counsel. Patrick later served as Deputy General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Third-Party Risk Management, where they oversaw the vendor lifecycle and provided legal advice on various matters. Currently, they hold the role of Deputy General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Risk & Compliance at VyStar Credit Union.

Patrick Gibbons has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in History from the University of Virginia. Patrick also has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Additionally, they hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International & Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School. Patrick Gibbons is a Seminar XXI Fellow in International Relations and Affairs from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Patrick has also completed a Senior Leader Seminar at the Naval Postgraduate School. Prior to their higher education, they attended Regis High School from 1984 to 1988. Patrick Gibbons is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Virginia State Bar.
