Petrus Badenhorst

Petrus Badenhorst is an accomplished finance professional and attorney with extensive experience in various financial and legal roles. Currently serving as the Head of Finance at VZLR since February 2021, Petrus specializes in Magistrates' Courts, High Court, and Tax Court matters, as well as drafting and reviewing legal documents related to commercial, tax, insolvency, and financial crime issues. Prior to this, Petrus held the position of Group Financial Director at 4PL Group, an integrated supply chain business, and worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Mertech Investments, focusing on financial modeling and due diligence. Petrus began a career in auditing at Ernst & Young as an Audit Supervisor, where responsibilities included audit planning, client relationship management, and compliance assessments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce, along with honors in Accounting, from the University of Johannesburg.
