Aaron Sojourner is a seasoned economist and academic with extensive experience in research and policy analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research since June 2022, Sojourner previously held a tenured position as an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management from July 2009 to May 2022, where contributions spanned both teaching and research in the Department of Work and Organizations. In addition, Sojourner worked as a Senior Economist for the Council of Economic Advisers at The White House from August 2016 to June 2017 and held roles at Chapin Hall, the U.S. Senate, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America earlier in career. Academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University and a Master's Degree in Public Policy Analysis from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, complemented by a BA in History from Yale University.
