Georjean Adams is an experienced professional in environmental management and education, currently serving as Chair of the Hawaii County Environmental Management Commission since January 2020. Additionally, Georjean has held the role of GuideStar at the W. M. Keck Observatory since May 2015, focusing on community outreach and tours. Georjean's commitment to solid waste management is further demonstrated through active participation on the Hawaii County Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan Advisory Committee since February 2018 and previously as Board President at Recycle Hawaii until September 2019. Prior experience includes leadership roles at EHS Strategies, Inc. and 3M, where Georjean was instrumental in developing environmental health and safety programs. Georjean's educational background includes a Master's degree in Environmental Policy from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UC San Diego.
