Christian Canlas

Christian Canlas has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Christian currently works at W. R. Grace as a Principal Scientist since September 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior R&D Scientist and R&D Engineer at the same company, working on the Refining Technologies (FCC) business. Christian also worked as a Postdoctoral Appointee at Argonne National Laboratory from April 2013 to June 2015. Christian was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northwestern University from January 2010 to January 2013. Christian started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University from August 2004 to December 2009. Christian also worked as an Instructor/Junior Faculty at the University of the Philippines from June 2000 to May 2004.

Christian Canlas completed a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry at Michigan State University from 2004 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a BS in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines, which they completed from 1996 to 2000.
