Balázs Szabó

Balázs Szabó is currently the Head of PMO at W.UP Kft. Previously, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at Finastra from April 2017 to February 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the implementation of online and mobile banking solutions for multinational clients. This included implementation of Finastra's Digital Channel software products, certain customizations, additional functional development and integration to different core banking and third party systems.

Szabó ensured that projects were delivered on time, within budget, and in a professional manner according to the contractual requirements and severe company standards. Balázs's daily tasks included project planning, resource booking, project team coordination on multinational level onsite and offsite, follow-up on ongoing tasks and deadlines, effort and quality monitoring, keeping close contact with client's stakeholders, and sharing progress reports internally and externally.

Some of their main projects include the Tirana Bank Transition program (responsible Program Manager for transitioning Bank’s banking systems to freshly implemented software, including upgraded core banking solution, payment system, teller application, CRM, AML, signature capture system, online and mobile banking applications), Bank of Valletta Mobile and Online Banking enhancement and customization (responsible Project Manager for delivering customizations and additional functions to a production application including interfacing to a newly implemented core banking system (Flexcube)), Ferratum Bank Mobile Banking enhancement and customization (responsible Project Manager for additional functions rollouts to a production application, further country rollouts and white-labeling), and Nordic Investment Bank Capital market solution (responsible Project Manager for interface scoping and planning the implementation to incorporate into the whole program portfolio).

Balázs Szabó has a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management from Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens), a Bachelor's Degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Budapest Business School, and a Master's degree in Management and Leadership from Szent István Egyetem.

They are on a team with Ferenc Száraz - Head of Consultancy, Zsófia Pokorni - Head of HR, and Milán Porcs - Head of International Support. Their manager is József Nyíri, CEO.
