Rui Hu

Rui Hu has a comprehensive work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2012, Rui worked at Qualcomm as a Senior System Engineer and later as a Staff System Engineer until July 2015. Following Qualcomm, Rui joined Apple in September 2015 as an ML Research Engineer, focusing on perception algorithm research and DNN framework development, until April 2018. Then, Rui joined Uber as a Research Engineer, contributing to research projects until December 2020. In January 2021, Rui joined Aurora as a Research Engineer for a short period of time before joining Waabi in March 2021 as a Software Engineer, where the current role is ongoing.

Rui Hu began their education journey by obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Communication University of China in 2006. Rui then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Signal and Information Processing from the same institution, completing it in 2008. After that, Rui Hu joined the University of Delaware and received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical & Computer Engineering in 2012.
