Chris Julien is a Doctoral Candidate at Universiteit Utrecht, focusing on Ecological Governance and Collapse, with a methodology integrating eco-philosophical, decolonial, and new materialist approaches. Currently serving as an Author for Uitgeverij Podium and in Strategy & Development with intra-action, Chris emphasizes co-operative design and regenerative cultures. As a Senior Research Fellow at Waag, Chris contributes to projects on temporary urbanism and planetary imaginaries, while also holding the position of Research Director, overseeing research strategy and funding. Additional roles include board membership at Valley of the Possible and Fiber Festival, and teaching positions at Universiteit Utrecht and Sandberg Instituut. Chris holds an rMA in Arts & Culture, an MA in Conflict Studies & Human Rights, and a BA in International Law, Philosophy, Economics, and History.
