Alicia Hammersmith

Alicia Hammersmith is President of Global Freight Services at Wabtec where she leads a $2.8B

global organization with 2,200 dedicated and talent employees who are responsible for 24K

locomotive upgrades, and modernizations programs in 23 countries.

She is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing operations

within Aviation, Transportation and Oil and Gas. A process-driven change agent, Alicia has deep

expertise in business transformation, M&A, system implementation, and operational excellence.

Alicia spent more than three years as the Group Vice President of Operations for Transit at

Wabtec and in this role was responsible for driving a number of simplification and restructuring

activities that laid the foundation for improved efficiency and profitability.

Previously, she was Vice President of Global Materials for GE Aviation where she aligned

commercial and supply chain operations through sales inventory and operations planning

processes to improve cash flow delivery and was responsible for $4.5B of global inventory and

execution of $31B of sales.

Alicia has a degree in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s in business

from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
