Jim Flores has extensive experience in the railroad and engineering sectors, having served as a Major at Wabtec Corporation since March 1995, where roles included West Coast Regional Manager, overseeing marketing, sales, and customer service functions, and acting as a consultant post-retirement. As an independent consultant at Flores Engineering & Consulting since 2016, Jim has engaged in various engineering projects related to rail car equipment and HVAC systems, while also holding senior consulting positions with CRSC Research & Design Institute and Virginkar & Associates. Previously, as VP of Engineering at GE Capital Railcar Leasing, Jim managed engineering support and leasing operations for a substantial fleet of railcars. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from California State University, Fresno, and is recognized as a certified DVBE/SB & DBE in California.
