Taylor Ray

Taylor Ray is an experienced Energy Storage Systems Engineer at Wabtec Corporation since July 2021, previously serving as a Test Engineer. Prior to Wabtec, Taylor worked at Volvo Group as a Senior Electrical Engineer, managing the electrical scope for a $166M paint shop project for Volvo Trucks’ North American operations. Taylor's earlier roles include Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech, where research focused on fiber optic sensors, and teaching involved laboratory circuits and C++ problem-solving. Additional experience includes internships at NASA Langley Research Center, developing improved emergency fire shelters, and various research projects at Colorado School of Mines. Taylor holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
