Weidong Jiang has extensive work experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. Weidong began their career at Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing as a Sr. Process Engineer from September 1996 to April 1998. Weidong then joined WaferTech and held various roles, including Sr. Process Engineering (Thin Film), Sr. YES Engineering, Section Manager of Yield Enhancement (YES), and Section Manager of Thin Film process engineering from December 1998 to April 2006.
In 2006, Weidong Jiang joined WaferTech LLC (TSMC Fab11) as the Director of Quality & Reliability. Weidong was responsible for QA, QRE, QMS, and Supplier Management. Weidong held this position until August 2014 when they became the Director of Quality & Reliability and Product Engineering. In this role, they oversaw quality and reliability, as well as product engineering. Currently, they serve as the Director of Product Engineering and Customer Services Engineering since January 2022.
Weidong Jiang received their B.Sc in Electronic Physics from Fudan University in 1982. Weidong then pursued their MS degree in Solid State and Surface Physics from the same university from 1982 to 1985. Later, they attended Bundeswehr University Munich from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained their Dr.Ing- degree in Physics and Microsystems.
