Omar Hamad has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role at Wafra as the Director of Risk Office. Prior to this, they worked at Wafra as the Vice President of Risk Office and as a Senior Associate in the same department. Before joining Wafra, Omar worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a Senior Analyst in Firmwide Market Risk Analytics. Omar also gained experience as a Course Assistant at Columbia University and an Intern - Equity Analyst at Audi Saradar Investment Bank. At the start of their career, Omar worked as a Teacher Assistant at the American University of Beirut.
Omar Hamad's education history begins with their completion of the Lebanese Baccalaureate in General Sciences at International College from 1993 to 2008. Omar then pursued their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut, completing their studies from 2008 to 2012. During their time at the American University of Beirut, they also completed a minor in Engineering Management.
Afterwards, Omar attended Columbia University from 2012 to 2013 where they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Operations Research. In 2020 to 2021, they enrolled at New York University to pursue a certificate in Real Estate Investment.
