Marco began their career at Veolia as a Project Manager in 1989, later becoming the Director General of a subsidiary from 1992 to 1996.

Marco Venturini has a diverse educational background. Marco began their education journey at the Università degli Studi di Torino from 1984 to 1989, where they completed their LLM - Maîtrise en Droit degree. Their field of study during this time focused on Droit des affaires (business law) and droit européen (European law).
Afterward, Marco pursued further education by attending Sciences Po in 1997, where they obtained an MBA Master of Business Administration degree. Their studies revolved around stratégie (strategy), finance, and marketing.
In 2003, Marco enrolled in INSEAD and completed an Executive Master's degree in financial strategy. This program provided him with specialized knowledge in the field of financial strategy.
Lastly, in 2010, Marco attended Université Paris Dauphine - PSL for a year, where they pursued a Master 2 degree in Energie Finance Carbone (Energy Finance Carbon). This program likely focused on the intersection of energy, finance, and carbon markets.
