Bilal Waris

Bilal Waris has over 18 years of professional experience in the Human Resources and Talent Management fields. In 2003, they began their career as a Director of Operations at Touchstone Communications. In 2005, they were a Floor Manager Contact Center at Mobilink. In 2007, they joined Telenor as a Head of Talent Management (Digi), Senior Project Manager HR Shared Services, Project Manager, and Head of Strategy & Projects. In 2016, they were appointed Group Vice President Talent Management & OD at Axiata Group, where they developed a cohesive regional talent strategy and roadmap for Leadership Development and Talent Pipeline. In 2020, they were Senior Vice President Human Resources at Valiram and Head HR, COE & Operations at AirAsia. Currently, they are Head of People & Culture at Wagely.

Bilal Waris attended the University of Peshawar from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences. Bilal then attended the London Business School from 2012 to 2014, where they completed a Short Program in Strategic Marketing. In 2016, they received a SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM. In 2019, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business and completed an executive program in People, Performance & Culture. Bilal also has a 6 Sigma certification.
