Aurin Vos

Aurin Vos is a scientist at Wageningen Plant Research since June 2020, specializing in microbiology. Previously, Aurin held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at Delft University of Technology from April 2017 to March 2020, focusing on eliminating oxygen requirements in yeasts inspired by an obligate anaerobic fungus. During a PhD candidacy at Utrecht University from August 2011 to February 2017, Aurin investigated compost degradation and mushroom development to increase mushroom production yields. Aurin has also completed internships at the University of Aberdeen and Universiteit Utrecht, exploring topics such as translational efficiency and the production of therapeutic proteins in mushrooms. Aurin earned a PhD in Microbiology, as well as an MSc in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences and a BSc in Biology, all from Utrecht University.
