Patricia Gibson has had two main work experiences. Patricia worked at the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority from 2012 to the present in two roles, starting as the Laboratory Manager from July 2012 to August 2018, and then becoming the Director of Clinical Resources from August 2018 to the present. Prior to that, they were a Supervisor at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre from July 1996 to April 2011.
Patricia Gibson holds a Certificate in Quality Management and a Certificate in Leadership in Healthcare from The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Patricia also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Fredericton. Additionally, Patricia has studied Medical Technology at the University of Johannesburg.
Weeneebayko Area Health Authority
Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA) provides acute and ambulatory health-care services to communities along Ontario's western James Bay and Hudson Bay coasts. We serve over 12,000 people through hospitals in Moose Factory, Fort Albany, and Attawapiskat, and a health centre in Moosonee. We also operate regional outpatient programs, as well as paramedicine services throughout the region, including in Kashechewan and Peawanuck. We are affiliated with Queens University.
