Derek Chang

Derek Chang is a seasoned sales and leadership professional currently serving as the Head of GTM and a founding team member at Waii, an enterprise text-to-SQL tool, since October 2023. Previously, Derek held the position of Enterprise Regional Sales Manager at Cribl, achieving the highest new customer acquisition across the Americas sales team in FY23. At Verkada, Derek exceeded the FY quota by 162% for the Bay Area and Hawaii territories as an Enterprise Account Executive. While at Snowflake, Derek covered the top 25 customer accounts company-wide and earned recognition as a two-time President’s Club member. Derek's early career included a role at Brand Networks as Associate Director of Media Operations and a unique travel experience as a backpacker covering over 15 countries. Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.
