Roberto Alfieri is an accomplished marine biology professional with extensive experience in aquarist roles and underwater instruction. Currently serving as a Senior Aquarist, Elasmobranchs Biologist, and Fish Disease and Quarantine Specialist at Waikiki Aquarium since August 2021, Roberto specializes in disease diagnostics and treatment protocols for marine animals. Additionally, Roberto works part-time as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor at Kaimana Divers, teaching courses and leading dive excursions. Previous roles include positions at Long Island Aquarium as a Senior Aquarist and Dive Safety Officer, where Roberto supervised the Shark Dive program, and various aquarist and diving roles across Europe. Roberto holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from Università Politecnica delle Marche and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
