Gurbaj Singh

Gurbaj Singh has a wealth of experience in software engineering and backend development. Gurbaj began their career in 2017 as an Intern at JungleWorks, where they were responsible for the backend of projects implemented on NodeJS with databases such as MongoDB/mySQL/postgreSQL. Gurbaj also worked on a base project for the company following the microservices architecture. In 2018, they moved to Dextra as a Backend and Devops Engineer. At Dextra, they converted the monolithic to microservices architecture to have higher availability and horizontal scalability. Gurbaj also built a Real Time Chat supporting direct and group conversations using MQTT and Cassandra DB. In 2019, they joined Accelerator App as a Software Engineer. At Accelerator App, they suggested and helped in migrating from REST to GraphQL (ApolloJS) and from Javascript to Typescript. Gurbaj also implemented Elasticsearch to provide scalable search and filtering of applications. In 2020, they joined Waitroom as a Senior Software Engineer (IC-3).

Gurbaj Singh attended Chitkara University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
